Hello Crawford-Rodriguez Families,
This past week during morning announcements, our Guidance Counselor, Ms. Herold, shared inspirational messages about how each and every member of our school community can make a difference in creating a positive school environment. The messages have inspired students to share with me on a daily basis how they are being good citizens at Crawford-Rodriguez.
This upcoming week is Red Ribbon Week! During this week, students are reminded of the importance of being drug-free. Each day this week has a different theme.
Monday: Follow Your Dreams —Wear your PJ’s to school!
Tuesday: I “Mustache” You not to do Drugs---Wear a mustache to school if you have one!
Wednesday: Hat’s off to being Drug Free---Wear a hat to school!
Thursday: “Orange You Glad You’re Drug Free” ---Wear orange to school!
Friday: As a school we will be reciting a Drug Free Pledge!
Halloween Celebrations October 31
· Children who choose to participate should come to school dressed in their costumes and be prepared to remain in their costumes all day.
o Please keep in mind that costumes should be comfortable and allow for children to move freely and should not depict any sort of violence.
o Masks may not be worn during the school day, and no fake weapons of any kind will be allowed.
· Classroom parties will be planned throughout the day.
o Please be mindful that a teacher may plan a party with the children only or with selected parent volunteers. This is a class-by-class decision.
o The receptionist desk will have a listing of the parents who are attending parties. Visitors must sign in. Visitors to class parties will be receiving special Halloween Visitor stickers, which should be worn while entering the building as well as while you are in the building at all times.
o If you are taking your child home after the festivities, you will sign your child out in the classroom. All parties will conclude by 2:30 p.m. to allow for classes to be ready for dismissal.
