Principal's Message

January 23, 2012

Dear Crawford-Rodriguez Families,

January School Date to Remember

  • Friday, Jan. 27: Schools Closed (tentatively) for students only for Transition Day and K-8 Staff Professional Day.  Please remember that this date is tentative and that any “snow days’’ or school closings before this date MAY impact this day off for students.  This means that IF we have a “snow day’’ before Jan. 27 (especially one that impacts the high school exam schedules), the district may need to cancel or postpone Transition Day/K-8 Staff Professional Day and all students could be required to come to school Jan. 27 and possibly have a different day off for Transition Day.  It is important for parents to be aware of this possibility. In the event of this change, we will inform parents in advance via automated call, email and notices on our district and school websites.

PTN Happenings

  • Coming Soon.....$5 discount cards for Kentucky Fried Chicken restaurants. Look for the order forms on the E-backpack.
  • Remember to submit any photos you have from classroom holiday parties, Girl Scout/Boy Scout events and class trips to the yearbook.  You can email your photos to Donna Willis at gdgv3@aol.com.
  • Crawford-Rodriguez is participating in Partners and Caring at Shop Rite and A+ for Kids at Stop and Shop. This is an easy way to earn cash for the school.  It's simple, just register your Shop Rite or Stop and Shop card numbers and start earning points for our school.  Check the school's webpage for more details on how to register.
  • Keep collecting Box Tops, My Coke Rewards, Tyson Project A+ and Campbell’s labels and have your child send them in to school.  Collecting all these labels is an easy way to help the school toward their fundraising goals.   Check the E-Backpack for details.
  • The PTN is always looking for volunteers.  If you are interested in helping with any of the school year activities, please contact Traci Harrison at 732-367-7510.  You may join the PTN by sending in the membership form.
